The fairest of them all

Hazelfest 2024 - our annual community festival - was the best yet! The green outside Hazelhurst Estate was alive with colour, music, song and a good vibe. The Mayor of Wandsworth brought along her children to join in the free afternoon of fun for all the family. Our thanks go to Clapham Grand with costumes and the unicorn, Tooting Community Kitchen and Summerstown Mission for their free scrummy cakes and food, Generate for the marvellous drumming troupe finale and fun stall, Ilbert for the football coaching, Polka Theatre for the musical storytelling, Let's Act Drama School for their performance of Moana, Doreen for the weaving stall, Kes for the fab facepainting, Dr Bike for bicycle repairs and Fayon Dixon for hosting. We must also thank our tireless volunteers: Berit, Teresa, Annie, Victoria, Jane, Sarah, Silvana, Angela, Alex,

Emma and Bridget who ran Scrapstore stalls and another amazing team of volunteers who set up and cleared away, among them Anne, Anne, Tim, Ben, Trudy and John, so you wouldn't know Hazelfest had ever been there! Not forgetting the irrepressible Kyla for making sure the event happened! How do we top that in 2025?
