Scrapstore and the Great Big Green Day

Scrapstore took part in the Great Big Green Day on Saturday September 25th at St Mary's Church in Balham. The event brought together a host of different environmental groups and local organisations, with stalls (including ours), family-friendly activities, discussion workshops and information, refreshments, crafts, freebies, live music/choir and more. Scrapstore was busy selling all the wonderful materials it diverts from incineration and landfill - which amounts to over 60 tonnes in total each year - including beads, ribbon, fabric, sequins, plain and decorative paper, felt, wool, jewellery and so much more. Seen here is one of our wonderful volunteers Silvana manning our stall. Scrapstore will be running other stalls over the coming months.
