Doing our bit for climate change

Work and Play Scrapstore is part of the borough-wide Climate Change Festival to coincide with the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow. The idea is to raise awareness of climate change issues, one of which is close to our heart - reducing waste. There will be a mixture of virtual and in-person events held throughout the week of the festival, from Monday 8 to Saturday 13 November 2021, culminating in the main event, in the Grand Hall at Battersea Arts Centre (Lavender Hill SW11 5TN) between 11am and 5pm. That's where Scrapstore will be, demonstrating how to recycle, upcycle and repurpose items from materials that would otherwise go to landfill and incineration. Our stall will be one of many highlighting different aspects of the climate emergency and what is being done in Wandsworth to tackle it.
